Indoor Fun Activities for Kids

One of the best things about the Magic House Children’s Museum is that it’s indoors! During the wintertime and especially during winter break it can be hard to find indoor activities that keep the kids busy. The Magic House has so much to do and you can easily spend a whole day there with the kiddos.

The Magic House was founded by two volunteers in 1979 and opened as the original 5,500 square foot victorian mansion you can still see from the front. Since 1979 the Magic House has grown to over 55,000 square feet of interactive exhibits through several expansions.

Magic House Construction Zone

My boys love the construction zone at the Magic House where kids can pretend to be on a real life construction site. They can learn about levers and pulleys while using their muscles to move building materials around. There’s also a fun digging area and real construction equipment for them to sit in.
